Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to procure on a limited-source basis (either from Cisco Systems, Inc. or from one of its authorized resellers) the following items, which will be used to replicate the shipboard Aegis LAN Interface System: Cisco 7507 7-slot, 2-CyBus, 1 RSP4, single power supply (#CISCO7507/4), Cisco 7500 Series route switch processor 4+ (#RSP4+), RSP4 flash card with 16MB option (#MEM-RSP4-FLC16M), RSP4/RSP4+ 64MB DRAM option (RSP4+ default) (#MEM-RSP4-64M), Cisco 7507 AC power supply (default) (#PWR/7), Cisco 7507 dual C power supply option (PWR/7/2), AC power cord North America (CAB-/KAC), Cisco RSPx Series IOS IP (S75C-12103T), 2-port fast ethernet IP with distributed switching (100TX) (FEIP2-DSW-2TX), Versatile Interface Processor 4, Model 80 (#VIP4-80) -- quantity 2, 128MB SDRAM option for VIP4 (#MEM-VIP4-128M-SD), 1-port FDDI full duplex multi-mode port adapter (PA-F/FD-MM) -- quantity 2, 5-port Ethernet 10BaseFL port adapter (#PA-SEFL), and Cisco 7507 SmartNet premium maintenance (#CON-SNTP-7507). This acquisition will occur via a Firm Fixed Price contract. All items shall be delivered and accepted FOB-Destination to the Receiving Officer, Bldg. 125, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia 22485, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on weekdays. No deliveries will be accepted on Federal holidays. This solicitation number is N00178-01-Q-9034; it is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26 (16 May 2001). The NAICS code associated with this procurement is 334111; the small business size standard is 1000 employees. The Government will award a contract from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation, meets all of the specifications from each CLIN at the overall lowest delivered cost, and has a satisfactory past performance history for providing the same or similar items. The offeror shall provide with its offer a list of at least three customers to whom same or similar items have been sold, along with item descriptions, quantities, contract numbers, names and organizations, points of contact, and telephone numbers. All offerors must include a completed copy of FAR 52.222-22, "Previous Contracts and Compliance Reports" (Feb 1999) and FAR 52.222-25, "Affirmative Action Compliance" (Feb 1984) with their quotes. Additionally, FAR 52.211-15, "Defense Priority and Allocation Requirements" (Sep 1990), FAR 52.211-17 "Delivery of Excess Quantities" (Sep 1989), FAR 52.222-19 "Child Labor-Cooperation with Authorities and Remedies" (Feb 2001), FAR 52.222-21 "Prohibition of Segregated Facilities" (Feb 1999), FAR 52.222-26 "Equal Opportunity" (Feb 1999), FAR 52.232-1 "Payments" (Apr 1984), FAR 52.232-8 "Discounts for Prompt Payment" (May 1997), FAR 52.232-25 "Prompt Payment" (Mar 2001), FAR 52.233-1 "Disputes" (Dec 1998), FAR 52.233-3 "Protest After Award" (Aug 1996), FAR 52.246-16 "Responsibility for Supplies" (Apr 1984), and DFARS 252.204-7004, "Required Central Contractor Registration" (March 2000), also apply to this acquisition.
