Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this requirement is USZA95-01-T-0044, and is issued as a Request For Quotation. The due date is May 31, 2001 NLT 12:00Noon est. The Special Operations Mission Planning Office (SOFMPO) has a requirement for a Wide Format Scanning Device. Based on prior market research, the Government intends to award a contract, on a sole source basis, to Ideal Scanners & Systems, Inc., 11810 Parklawn Drive, Rockville, MD 20852. The scanners to be purchased are 2 ea. Chroma 6040 800 DPI Color Scanning System (Windows 2000), with Wideimage/Scan+Feature, JETimage Color Scan to Print Software, WideCAPTURE Mac Interface for SuperWIDE40, and SuperWIDE Scanner Stand. While the intent of this acquisition is to purchase on a sole source basis, Note 22 applies. Quotations for this solicitation will be accepted via e-mail or facsimile. The solicitation document, provisions, and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20.
