Description

The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System is soliciting bids for installation of a fully comprehensive Security System by using the existing infrastructure of our SMATV System or develop a new infrastructure. Work will also include installation of a new infrastructure for the SMATV System. The Security System work includes installation of a "head end" or central processing unit for the entire system to allow for connectivity & distribution of all security equipment on campus such as cameras & door locks. In addition to a new infrastructure, the SMATV System will include installation of a "head end" room capable of sending locally produced video production cable systems to special areas on campus, capturing video productions from local TV channel broadcasts, accepting programming from a digital satellite currently installed on campus and future capability of linking to a local employee/patient training system. This procurement will be conducted as a two-step sealed bid in accordance wit FAR 14.5. IFB will be available on/or about 6/25/01 and must be requested in writing. Fax requests to (520)629-1817.
