Description

The VA Healthcare Network Upstate New York at Syracuse, a division of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), has a need for specialized medical resources to be furnished by the Contractor. The specialized medical resources required are mammography services which include breast imaging, breast sonography, pre-biopsy needle localization of non-palpable lesions, guided fine needle aspiration biopsies and aspiration of non-palpable cysts to eligible beneficiaries at the Contractor's facility. It is the intent of the VA to award a one (1) year contract with two (2) one-year options. This is commercial item acquisition and will be conducted in accordance with policies and procedures of FAR Part 12. A request for proposal will be issued on or about May 29, 2001 and offers will be due as specified in the solicitation, anticipated to be on or about June 29, 2001. All requests for proposal packages must be submitted in writing or facsimile (315-477-4508) and addressed to the point of contact (POC) identified above. Telephone requests will not be accepted. NAICS 621512 applies.
