Description
This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). LASER-DUAL HEAD, ND: YAG PARTICLE IMAGE VELOCIMETRY (PIV) LASER 120 MJ PULSE ENERGY. 532 NM OPERATING WAVELENGTH. 110VAC POWER. NEW WAVE RESEARCH GEMINI PIV-15 OR EQUIVALENT. ONE EACH (1) 7Dual head Nd:YAG laser for particle image velocimetry (PIV) operating at 532 nm 7 Both heads mounted on a single base plate with output beams spatially overlapped 7 Self contained closed loop cooling system with user fillable reservoir 7 TTL interface for triggering of laser pulses 7 Variable control of laser output energy without affecting beam quality 7 One power supply per laser head 7 Separate control panel for each laser head Maximum Energy Per Head = 120 mJ @ 532 nm Energy Loss Due to Optical Attenuator = 10% of maximum energy Output Energy Stability 1 3.5 % shot-to-shot for 98% of pulses Head Repetition Rate 0 to 15 Hz Beam Diameter < 5 mm Beam Pointing Stability < 0.2 mrads Pulse Width 2 to 5 nsec Beam Divergence < 2 mrad, full angle for 86% of energy Jitter 1 0.5 nsec with respect to external trigger Voltage 115 VAC 60 Hz Power = 3000 Watts Power Supply Maximum Weight (per power supply) 60 lbs Power Supply Maximum Dimensions (L x W x H) 20" x 9" x 16" Laser Head Assembly Maximum Dimensions (L x W x H) 17" x 8.5" x 4" The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-24. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 334413 and 500, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-09. Quotations for the items(s) described above are due by COB on 6/11/2001 and may be faxed to Adele C. Szuhai @ 216-433-2480 and include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin. The Representations and Certifications required by FAR 52.2l2-3 may be obtained via the internet at URL: http://ec.msfc.nasa.gov/msfc/pub/reps_certs/sats/ FAR 52.211-6 -- BRAND NAME OR EQUAL -- is applicable and the following identified clauses are incorporated by reference. Unless otherwise stated in the solicitation, for selection purposes, technical, price and past performance are essentially equal in importance. It is critical that offerors provide adequate detail to allow evaluation of their offer (see FAR 52.212-1(b). Quoters must provide copies of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications -- Commercial Items with their quote.
