- Description
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has a requirement to purchase a side entry MultiScan 600CW CCD Camera (MSC) for the 35mm port. The equipment shall have the following specifications: Camera Construction: Fiber-optically coupled to a high resolution phosphor scintillator and cooled by a Peltier cooler. CCD Size: 1024 x 1024 pixels, each pixel 24mm x 24mm. Grade B CCD chip. Magnification: Magnification on the sensor shall be about 3x smaller than the magnification on the viewing screen. Sensitivity: One digitized count corresponds to about 0.3 primary electrons. Saturation Charge: About 5000 primary electrons per pixel. Gain Uniformity: Transparent gain correction and dark current subtraction; 10% r.m.s in uncorrected images; 0.5% r.m.s. in gain-normalized images. Image Acquisition Modes: 8 bits, 2.5 MHz, flexible subarea read-out and x2, x3, x4 and x8 binning all supported; 14 bits, 710 KHz, flexible subarea read-out and x2, x3, x4 and x8 binning all supported; 14 bits, 380 KHz, low noise, flexible subarea read-out and x2, x3, x4 and x8 binning all supported. The camera and its software shall be compatible with a 794 MSC CCD mounted to the CM120 microscope. The camera shall be designed primarily for LowDose applications. Interested vendors that are capable of providing the Government with the equipment described above may request a copy of the Request for Quote (RFQ) in writing or by FAX to 301-480-4226 to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that the RFQ NIH-NIDDK-01-648 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) day after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is June 30, 2001.
