Description

The Program Support Center on behalf of the Office of Minority Health intends to award a simplified acquisition on a sole source basis to Tides Center, San Francisco, CA 94129. The basis for this requirement is to Review the various perceptions of a selected number of Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and health care providers as the Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Service (CLAS) Standards are considered for adoption and implementation in the State of California. The Contractor shall conduct in-depth interviews/and or focus groups to determine the level and understanding of the CLAS requirements. In addition, the Contractor shall track on-going legislative efforts to implement the standard at the state level in California. The proposed simplified acquisition is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals. No solicitation will be issued. It is anticipated that award of this requirement shall be on or about June 21, 2001.
