- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), requires the services of a contractor to assist with the following programs: Viewpoints from the FBI Academy -- which is a taped thirty-minute program broadcast on the Law Enforcement Television Network (LETN) and Law Enforcement Live -- which is a two-hour, live satellite program broadcast throughout North America to the general law enforcement community. The FBI requires two (2) full time Producers to assist with FBI Academy's Distance Learning Training Program specifically, Live Satellite Teleconferences, Video Teleconferencing Programs, and any other distance learning program directed at general law enforcement and/or FBI personnel. The responsibilities of the Producers shall be as follows: 1. Producing training via video programs, live satellite teleconferencing, video teleconferencing, and other distance learning media; 2. Providing leadership, guidance, and assisting in assembling the technical means, personnel, and content to be incorporated into an assigned project; 3. Directing talent and working with technical crews to create recorded or live broadcasts of satellite network, teleconferencing, and other training programs; 4. Briefing in-house staff and other contract staff regarding current and upcoming programming; 5. Assessing internal and external client graphic and video support requirements, determining timing, and developing cues for graphics and video roll-ins; 6. Scheduling and overseeing the rough run-through of each show with guests, host, and crew, rehearsing cues and inserting graphics and video roll-ins; 7. Overseeing the creation and editing of graphics (including slates, titles, name supers, text pages, credit rolls, animations, etc.); 8. Editing or overseeing the editing of video roll-ins; 9. Overseeing any necessary post-production editing of the original, master material to create a finished television product; 10. Creating program outline logs, graphics logs, rundown logs, and other documents necessary for productions; 11. Managing schedules (including contract and guest arrivals, make up scheduling, breaks and meals, rehearsals, countdown to show time, and post show wrap up.); and 12. Providing guests with specialized instruction in skills and attitudes for appearing on live, taped, and instructional programs. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The place of performance is FBI Academy, Quantico, Virginia. Travel expenses shall be borne by the contractor and will be reimbursed pursuant to Federal Travel Regulations. This will be a labor hour contract for a base year and four (4) additional option years. Producers shall work various shifts as early as 7:30 am and as late as 6:00 pm. Producers shall have at least eight years experience in video productions live and taped, live satellite teleconferencing and other distance learning media. Each contractor prior to access to the FBI Academy will undergo a security background check. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 711510 and the Business Size Standard is $21.5 million.
