PART: U.S. GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENTS=20 SUBPART: SERVICES CLASSCOD: D -- Information Technology Services, = including Telecommunication Services -- Potential Sources Sought OFFADD: 50 CONS/LGCZW, 300 O?Malley Ave., Suite 49, Schriever AFB, CO = 80912-3049 SUBJECT: D -- NOTICE OF CONTRACT ACTION FOR MSX OPERATIONS CONTRACT SOL: FA2550-01-R-0010 DUE: 07/08/01 POC: Brandy Epperson, 719-567-3826 DESC: Air Force Space Command?s 50th Space Wing requires specific = telecommunication network support for the Mid-course Space Experiment = (MSX) satellite. MSX is sun synchronous and in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) = ~900km altitude at a polar inclination. Communication is currently via = Air Force Satellite Control Network and antennae located at Johns = Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. The 1st Space = Operations Squadron (1 SOPS) of the 50th Space Wing located at = Schriever AFB, CO will require performance of the following functions = in support of on-going MSX operations: (1) Program Management; (2) = Support to the MSX Mission Operations Center (MOC); (3) Support for = Operations Planning; (4) Support to the MSX Engineering Support Team; = (5) The contractor will be required to provide 1 SOPS personnel with = satellite training to teach 1 SOPS engineers the specifics of MSX = satellite subsystem design and operation. The contractor shall attend = meetings, conferences, program reviews, and technical interchanges in = support of MSX mission execution; and (6) The Contractor must have = their own ground system (CCS) in order to control and operate the = satellite. There are no geographical restrictions, however, the = Contractor must establish connectivity with the Air Force Satellite = Control Network (AFSCN) and with Schriever AFB. This requirement is = for daily operations and support. The contractor will be responsible = for support twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week. The = desired period of performance for the services described herein is = anticipated 01Nov01 through 30Sep02, with two one year option periods = to follow.
