- Description
- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial = items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as = supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This = announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being = requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) = Solicitation COW-1-R-1086 will be issued as a Request for Proposal per = FAR Part 13. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated = provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition = Circular 97-26. (iv) not applicable (v) The contract line item is : = Facilities and Services. (vi) The Immigration and Naturalization = Service requires a function space and hotel accommodations for = approximately 300 people for the week of October 22 through Oct 26, = 2001 or November 26 through November 30, 2001. The Conference is to be = held in San Francisco, CA.. The space should be large enough to set up = a stage and provide theater style seating for 300 people. An additional = 10 breakout rooms are required at the facility that can comfortably = seat up to 20 people each classroom style. The facility shall serve a = Continental Breakfast for 4 days for 300 people, with mid-morning and = mid- afternoon coffee breaks for 3 days., a formal Luncheon 1 day and a = Banquet 1 evening. Audiovisual supplies and services are required for = the large conference room and breakout rooms. The quantity and type of = Audiovisual services/supplies will be determined at a later date. The = following special considerations shall apply to the hotel = accommodations: the hotel room rate cannot exceed the allowable = government per diem rates plus tax. and any additional accommodations. = The hotel shall have restaurants on site that can accommodate 300 = people or be within walking distance of eating establishments. The = hotel shall be rated at a minimum as a 3 Star establishment or = equivalent. (vii) The date of the Conference is to be determined = based on availability of a facility that meets the requirements stated = in paragraph (vi). (viii) FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to = Offerors-Commercial, applies to this solicitation with the following = addendum: offerors shall submit a signed proposal and provide at least = two past performance references to include points of contact and = telephone numbers (ix) FAR 52-212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items applies = to this acquisition. This is a best value procurement. Technical = capability and past performance will be evaluated equally and together = are more important than price. (x) Offerors shall include a completed = copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3=20
