Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items = prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as = supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This = announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A quote is being = requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation = number F41612-01-T-0075 is hereby issued as a Request for Quote. The = incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal = Acquisition Circular 97-19. This acquisition is under Standard = Industrial Classification code 3812, with a size standard of 750 = employees. This acquisition is being solicited as 100% Small Business = Set-Aside. Item 0001: Advanced Portable Detector APD 2000, = Detector/Monitor; Gas, nerve, blister agent; and hazardous compounds = identifier; portable, hand-held, selectable operating modes. Must = simultaneously detect and identify at least 9 nerve/blister chemical = agents (GA, GB, GD, VX, HD, HN, Lewisite (L), Pepper spray, Mace); both = AC and DC power compatible. Automatically clears down and resets = following an alarm, or as a continuously sampling monitor. Integrated = radiation dosimeter; data logging of all detection and monitoring = events; sample preservation; remote communication of alarm signals by = radio frequency required; unit must provide superior interferent = resistance. Manufacturer: Reeves Manufacturing. Inc. Equals will not = be evaluated. Item 0002: Data Logger. Digitally records all = detection and monitoring events chronologically for detector/monitor = (item 0001). Equals will not be evaluated. Item 0003. Software, = Training CD. Interactive courseware to provide training for the = operation of the items 0001 and 0002.
