Description

This is a combined symopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii)The solicitation is a Request for Quotation, 41702-007. (iii)The solicitation document and incorporated provisions & clauses are those in effect thru FAC 97-25. (iv)The solicitation is 100% set aside for small business. (v)Item 1:Install Residential Water Softeners, 26 each. Item 2: Yearly Rental Charge, 26 each. Item 3:Salt Pellets, 50 lb/bag, 936 bags. Include pricing for Two Option Years. (vi)The water softeners shall meet these minimum specifications: 40,000 high grain resin, a bypass valve, three valve or equivalent, low water use piston, demand control valve, regeneration brine tank, resin tank & an electro mechanical timer or equivalent. The offeror shall provide all the materials, labor and equipment to install and maintain the 26 water softeners. The offeror will be responsible for maintaining the equipment. The offeror will respond to service calls within a 48 hour period. Installation, service calls and preventitive maintenance will be coordinated thru the COTR. The offeror will deliver salt once monthly to the institution residences. Salt will be left at the back door if no one is available for delivery. The residences are located on the grounds of the Federal Correctional Institution, Milan, Michigan. This is an indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery solicitation. The government may order more or less than the stated number of bags of salt. Payment will be by government credit card once monthly. (vii)Installation dates & times will be coordinated upon award of the contract. (viii)The provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (ix)The provision 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Award will be based on price & price related factors, including past performance.
