Description

The Florida National Guard intends to award on a Sole Source basis, a contract with Tesla Industries, Inc. for a quantity of 18 Ground Power Units (GPU). The item to be purchased is a Turbo Start dry cell GPU, NSN 6130-01-475-5319. The unit provides portable 24V, 46 amp DC power for general maintenance support, and all mechanized vehicles. The GPU has a dry monolithic power cell, internal intelligent charger and an AC to DC converter. The dry cell contains no liquids, has no memory characteristics, and does not require deep-cycle charging. The unit may be recharged by plugging into 110V or 220V AC outlets, and can be recharged in 75 minutes. It is also capable of providing a continuous 28.5V DC output up to 40 amps if connected to a 110V or 220V power supply. The unit has a total weight of 120 Lbs. A 15 Ft. terminal cable is included with each unit. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by submitting explicit documentation to the USPFO for Florida, Procurement Division, Mrs. McConnell, at the office identified above, or by fax at 904-823-0512, or by e-mail barbara.mcconnell@fl.ngb.army.mil, that establishes that they can meet the above specifications. Documentation must be received within 15 days from the publication date of this notice to be considered by the USPFO. A determination by the USPFO not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
