Description
The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) intends to enter into a noncompetitive contract to maintain and repair or replacement of all existing access control devices located within the facilities located at Arlington, VA. Under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 (a)(2)(iii) and 6.302-1(b)(1) this effort is to be performed by INFOPRO Corporation. This system is made up of Identifard Proximity Readers, Electric Door Strikes, IVIS 2000 software, Identipass software, CCTV, numerous electric door release buttons, and utilizes the SMDC LAN for control of remote sites at the following locations: a. 1941 Jefferson Davis Highway, Suite 900, Arlington, VA b. 1941 Jefferson Davis Highway, Suite 918, Arlington, VA c. 1725 Jefferson Davis Highway, Suite 805, Arlington, VA The contractor will receive multiple tasks or technical directions from the Government Technical Monitor for all work to be accomplished. Once the tecnical monitor issue the tasks, the contractor must respond by submitting recommendations for repairs or replacements with a costs estimate of the services. The contractor that is assigned to perform the duties associated with the maintenance of this system do not require access to classified information. There will be some circumstances where services are required in "SENSITIVE AREAS." If so, on a case by case basis, a government official will escort the individual(s). ALL WORK TO BE PERFORMED AT USASMDC facilities are located in Arlington, VA. The period of performance is from date of contract award to September 30, 2001 with three option years. ALL RESPONSES SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO USASMDC-CM-AA, MS. JENNIFER L. CAMPBELL, CONTRACTING OFFICER AT (703) 607-2011, PO BOX 15280, ARLINGTON, VA 22215-0280 AND MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN FIFTEEN (15) CALENDAR DAYS (JUNE 13, 2001) FROM THE DATE OF THIS NOTICE. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider responses received from other interested sources. DETERMINATION BY THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT TO COMPETE THIS PROPOSED CONTRACT BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT.
