Description
(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a proposal is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP #0009403). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the FEDERAL ACQUISITION CIRCULAR 97-25. (iv) This solicitation is not restricted to a set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System is 334220 (Communication Equipment) and the small business size standard is 750 employees. A firm-fixed-price purchase order will be issued as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation. (v) The RFP is for the following CONTRACT LINE ITEM NUMBERS (CLINS): CLIN 0001: Quantity: 012, Item Description: Panasonic CF 47 or CF 48 Toughbook Laptops CLIN 0002: Quantity: 010 Sierra Wireless Aircard 300 CLIN 0003: Quantity: 011 SCA Premier MDC Software CLIN 0004: Quantity: 010 Mobile Computer Stand with docking station compatible with the Panasonic CF 47 or CF 48 Toughbook Laptop(vi) The Wireless Applications Test Program (WATP) staff of the Criminal Justice Information Services Division has initiated a pilot project. The project will allow the Federal Bureau of Investigation to test wireless equipment and provide access to NCIC 2000. The WATP staff has determined the required equipment is to mirror the system currently being used in the patrol cars of the Salt Lake City, West Jordan Police Department. (vii) Partial deliveries are acceptable. Items shall be shipped F.O.B. Destination to: Federal Bureau of Investigation, Attention: Dave Harding, 257 East 200 South, Suite 1200, Salt Lake City, UT 84111.
