Description
The Federal Highway Administration has a requirement to foster = and support the development and widespread application of high = performance steel to the highway infrastructure. In order to reach = vital elements of the high performance steel bridge community, FHWA = will hold a symposium in the western part of the United States which = will maximize the delivery of the innovative technology as well as form = partnerships necessary to assure the implementation of high performance = steel bridges structures. FHWA requires the services of an = organization that can target designers (in public agencies, as well as = private consultants), construction engineers, construction inspectors, = highway contractors and steel industry personnel. This organization = must be able to not only reach the proper community but to plan the = workshop including a 1-day training course on the design of high = performance steel bridges using the current AASHTO Load & Resistance = Factor Design code. THIS REQUIREMENT IS AN UNRESTRICTED PURCHASE. The = North American Product Classification System Code is 561990 and the = small business standard is $5 million average annual revenue over the = last 3 years. THIS SOLICITATION WILL ONLY BE RELEASED AND AVAILABLE = ELECTRONICALLY AT HTTP://WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV. ACCORDINGLY, NO WRITTEN, = TELEPHONE, FACSIMILE OR E-MAIL REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE = WILL BE ACCEPTED.
