Description

The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) intends to extend Contract No. DCA200-93-D-0048, a firm fixed price contract, on a sole source basis. The contract currently will expire on 20 July 2001, and will be extended through 30 September 2001, with options to extend the contract for up to a one-year period. The purpose of this extension is to provide continuous, uninterrupted service as a bridge between the existing contract and the new competitive award currently being worked. This contract currently provides for the lease of three circuits: 1.536 MBPS from MacDill AFB FL to Pompano Beach FL, 1.536 MBPS from MacDill AFB FL to Yacolt WA, and 1024 KBPS from MacDill AFB FL to Andover ME. The circuits are in support of command and control of operational deployments and/or training missions any time/any place. The contractor is SIGCOM, Inc., 4413 West Market Street, Greensboro NC 27407-1305. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency in accordance with Numbered Note 22.
