Description

The purpose of this modification to the original notice posted on 28 February 2001 is to advise that solicitation DCA200-01-R-5016 is cancelled in its entirety. ORIGINAL NOTICE: The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) intends to issue under full and open competition, a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the lease of two separate dedicated, full-period, full-duplex, 1.544 Mbps digital transmission circuits. One 1.544 Mbps circuit shall be the alternate communication path between Hawaii Tracking Station (HTS), Kaena Point, Oahu, Hawaii, and Onizuka Air Station (OAS), CA. The other 1.544 Mbps circuit shall be the alternate communication path between HTS and Schriever Air Force Base (SAFB), CO. The RFP will be issued under the commercial acquisition procedures of FAR Part 12. Period of performance is a 12-month base period, with four, one-year options. A firm fixed priced contract will be awarded to the technically acceptable offeror presenting the lowest price over the life of the contract. The RFP will be posted on or about 12 March 2001 on the World Wide Web at http://www.ditco.disa.mil under "Contracting Opportunities" under "Information Technology RFP/RFQ/RFI" of the DITCO Homepage. The Government may schedule a site survey at all three locations pending confirmed interest from prospective offerors. Prospective offerors desiring to have representatives participate in the site survey shall provide registration information in writing to DITCO/DTS22, Attn: Mr. Terry L. Green, 2300 East Drive, Scott AFB, IL, 62225-5406 (RFP: DCA200-01-R-5016). Registrations may be mailed, faxed to (618) 229-9436 or e-mailed to greent@scott.disa.mil. Requests must be received no later than 8 calendar days from the date the RFP is released. Request for site survey reservations must provide the following information for each individual desiring to attend the site surveys: full name, social security number, company and position, security clearance, granting agency, date clearance granted, birth date, place of birth and citizenship. The survey date and time will be provided only to those offerors who register to attend the site survey. PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS ARE REQUESTED TO LIMIT THEIR ATTENDEES TO TWO PER COMPANY.
