Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has an additional requirement for the procurement of Interim Depot Maintenance Support for F/A-18 F414 Engines LOT IV. NAVAIR intends to negotiate a firm fixed price modification with the General Electric Company under Contract N00019-99-C-1175. The General Electric Company is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18 F414 aircraft engine and, as such, the only firm currently possessing the requisite technical knowledge and expertise, facilities, tooling, and special test equipment necessary to perform these efforts within the required timeframe.
