Description

Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Watershed Initiatives for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Purpose of proposed contract is to provide services to develop plan coordination and outreach strategy for the NMFS. Tasks will include helping to plan and facilitate leadership meetings to develop a strategy for the planning phase of recovery planning in the willamette/Lower Columbia Basin; and helping to plan and facilitate near-term outreach; writing, editing, and preparing for publication various education and outreach materials applicable to previous two tasks. Watershed Initiatives is dedicated to finding solutions and strategies that help local communities solve natural resource problems and promote the health of local watersheds. Proposed vendor's principal has over ten years experience in Oregon and Washington managing, designing, and facilitating workshops, conferences, and meetings on all aspects of watershed management including watershed sand salmon recovery issues and community-based recovery efforts. Additional principal has over twenty years of experience in land use, environmental, and resource management issues in a variety of political, organizational, and geographic settings. Principal also has experience in numerous consensus-building, strategic planning, goal setting, and organizational analyses for the public, nonprofit, and private sectors.
