Description

The U. S. Department of Interior (DOI), National Park Service (NPS) is seeking a contractor to perform general oversight responsibilities of the transportation system at Rocky Mountain National Park (NP), Colorado, and possibly other parks including; Grand Canyon NP, Arizona, Zion NP,Utah, and Bryce Canyon NP, Utah. The NPS has awarded a transit service contract for operation of an expanded transportation service, at Rocky Mountain NP. The transit service will be operated from mid-June to mid-October, 2001. The contractor must have the technical expertise to efficiently manage the transit contract; ensure compliance with all contract specifications, terms, and conditions; and implement a quality assurance program for the transportation service. The responsibilities of the oversight service contract will include but is not limited to: performance of quality assurance duties for the transit service; review of contractor submitted reports, invoices, personnel records and plans of operation; review of the contractor's quality control program implementation; monitoring performance standards for compliance; spot checking maintenance records; oversight of operation; and reporting redcommendations to the NPS. The contractor would be expected to assign one-person, part-time to this contract and the person would be expected to work at Rocky Mountain NP, Colorado, and possibly other parks.
