Solicitation Number: 193045-01-A-0019 Offer Due Date: 7-2-01 Time: 3:00 p.m. CST Issuing Office: Kansas City Facilities Service Office 6202 College Blvd Ste 400 Overland Park KS 66211-2443 Area: Mid-America District (KS Zips 660-652 and 667 -- MO Zips 636-641, 644-648, 654-658) Information and Evaluation Factors: Repair and Alteration and Maintenance of Postal Facilities. This will be an Indefinite Quantity Construction Contract (IQC-C) for minor repair and alteration and maintenance of Postal facilities for the area shown above. If it is in the best interest of the Postal Service and agreeable to the contractor(s), the resulting contract(s) may be extended, by supplemental agreement, to include other areas. The contract will be for a one year period with four-one year renewal options. The total value of work orders may not exceed $5,000,000.00 over the life of the contract with a minimum $10,000.00 of work ordered over the life of the contract. No single work order may exceed $250,000 and a specific work order will be issued to specify the kind and quantity of work to be performed for each project. Multiple awards may be made from this solicitation. Evaluation Factors: Award will be made to one of more of the most highly qualified general contractor(s) offering the best combination management plan, technical ability and price. Management plan and technical ability will be determined by past performance and references, safety record, financial information, and other related items as listed in the solicitation. Estimated that $300,000.00 will be charged against this contract. This does not obligate the U S Postal Service, it is only an estimate designed to help contractors in making an offer. Bonding will be changed in increments of $100K with amounts to be determined by the contracting officer at time of award and as additional bonding is required. Bonds and Insurance: Performance and Payment Bonds, certificate of public and automobile liability insurance, Worker?s Compensation, and Employers Liability Insurance are required before award to the successor offeror(s). The successful offeror(s) will be required to submit a subcontractor minority report with each payment request for each workorder issued. Solicitation Package: Solicitation packages will be available on or about June 1, 2001. The solicitation package will be available on CD. Paper copies may also be ordered if desired. See ordering information below. Notes: No award or offer information will given out until after award. All solicitation packages must be ordered through the printing company. This office will not respond to subcontractor telephone requests for Plan Holder lists.
