Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office, Yuma Arizona, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Floway, Inc., 2494 South Railroad Avenue, Fresno CA 93707. To purchase 10 additional pumps and motors. Competition is restricted due to this being a follow-on acquisition in which only one source has the capability and compatibility with the existing equipment to be acquired. Floway, Inc. is the manufacturer of the pumps and motors therefore the design is proprietary. It is not in the best interest of the Government to purchase another design which will not be compatible with the existing pump and motors. This is a follow-on order for the purchase of items which were originally purchased using full and open competition. This procurement will be awarded via Commercial Items FAR Part 12 using Simplified Acquisition procedures. The anticipated award date is June 14, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. Offers shall show contractor's capability to provide the required items and be received by 12 Noon MST, June 13, 2001.
