Description

This requirement for 3 First Article units, plus a minimum quantity of 362 each, maximum quantity 1,000 each Shipboard Automatic Chemical Agent Detector and Alarm (Ship ACADA) systems. The ordering period for quantities over the minimum is 3 years from effective date of contract. The Ship ACADA Systems are to be manufactured in accordance with a product specification, Government drawing package, and Government technical manual. The 3 First Article Units are to be delivered within 180 days of contract award, the Government will provide acceptance or rejection within 30 days of receipt of the First Article Units, and the production quantity of 362 Ship production units are to be delivered at the rate of 30 units per month until complete. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination by the requiring technical activity, with delivery to be FOB destination NSWC Crane. This procurement action is being offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334519. Licensing by the Nuclear Regulatory commission in accordance with Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Chapter 1, part 30.20(b) is required. Select "Corporate Info", "Acquisition/Business Opportunities" and under "Solicitations" are selections and instructions for downloading The Request For Proposal (RFP). The complete RFP with the exception of the Government Drawing Package (Top Drawing Number 53711-7344570) will be available at the NSWC Crane web page. To obtain the Drawing Package a request must be submitted to Ms. Marlene Siddons, at the e-mail address or telephone number listed above. It is anticipated the RFP will be available for dowloading on or about 18 JUNE 2001. Submittal of proposals in response to this synopsis will be 30 days after RFP issue date. Interested 8(a) firms are encouraged to download a copy of the solicitation, and submit a request for the Drawing Package as expeditiously as possible. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by this Agency. When calling, be prepared to state company name, address and solicitation number.
