Description

This procurement is for the Back Up Sight, NSN: 6650-01-313-8946, Part Number 9380400, the Mirror and Pulley Assembly, NSN: 6650-01-313-8947, Part Number 9380405, the Cell Assy, Optical, NSN: 6650-01-313-8948, Part Number 9380403, the Reticle, Optical, NSN: 6650-01-313-8949, Part Number 9380409, the Filter, Light 6650-01-314-1789, Part Number 9380407, and the Cell Assy, 6650-01-314-3577. The Back Up Sight is a five power (5X) Ballistic Periscope fixed power, day-light, monocular sight. The Back Up Sight has a range estimating capability for sighting and firing the primary weapon (25 Millimeters) (MM) from the electrical stabilized turret of a fighting vehicle system (FVS) vehicle. The Technical Data Package for this solicitation contains a classified drawing. Each bidder must verify that they have a "Secret" Facility clearance in order to obtain this classified drawing. The other items required are subassemblies or components of the Back Up Sight. The requirement is for 109 each Back Up Sights only. FOB is Destination. All items are for use on the Bradley Fighting Vehicle System. Estimated issue date is 06/15/01. The proposed contract is a 100% Small Business Set Aside five year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract. The quantity indicated above is the Government's minimum guaranteed quantity requirement for the first ordering period; all out year requirements will be estimated in the solicitation. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.1-2(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: http://www-acala1.ria.army.mil/ACALA/AAIS/AAIS.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bin opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to : tdpdist@ria-emh2.army.mil. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet.
