- Description
- The National Nuclear Security Administration Nevada Operations Office (NNSA/NV), intends to solicit the services of Blackhawk Geoservices, Inc., on a sole source basis. Blackhawk Geoservices is to serve as principal investigator to determine the utility of using electrical impedance tomography (EIT) to map Dense Non-Aqueous Phase Liquid (DNAPL) contaminated soil and groundwater. Blackhawk Geoservices is recognized as the only capable means of locating DNAPL source zones using a technique, which targets detection of DNAPL source term with thin confining layers of soil. Blackhawk Geoservices possesses a unique and innovative capacity to provide the particular research technology and technique required for the mission, which is not available to the Government by any other means. This effort is a continued development and production of a major highly specialized tool for a specific result. Blackhawk Geoservices is one of three technology developers who will participate in this field test to comparatively evaluate the capabilities and limitations of the geophysical techniques for direct detection of DNAPL. If you have any comments, please fax them to (702) 295-5305, or you may e-mail them to rodriguez@nv.doe.gov.
