- Description
- The Carderock Division Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Lockheed Martin for engineering services. The contractor will design a 1/8th scale protype Flexible Tab Assisted Control (FlexTAC) System Program Device. The FlexTAC concept is envisioned to provide improved submarine low-speed maneuvering and increased submerged operating envelope. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements under the authority of FAR 6.302.1 Anticipated award is on or about 6/15/01. See numbered Note 22.
