Description

The Army Telecommunications Directorate (ATD) has a requirement for nonpersonal services for local telephone exchange services for West Point, New York. The proposed contract is for a base year with four one-year options. The local exchange services provider, certified by the state of New York, shall provide local commercial communications service for West Point which shall include, as a minimum but not limited to, local access for commercial subscriber lines, E-911, transport channels, and local exchange digital (ISDN PRI) trunks, directory number and number portability. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered. Sources responding to this requirement must indicate in writing, whether they are a large, small, disadvantaged and /or women-owned business. For this acquisition, a concern will be considered small under SIC code 4813 with size standard of 1500 employees NAICS 51331 and 51333. This requirement shall be a commercial, fixed price type contract. Solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about 31 May 01. The Government will conduct a preproposal conference and site visit on 07 Jun 01 at the West Point DOIM, building #2101. The conference will be from 9:00-10:30 (approximately) and will be followed by a site visit from 10:30 12:00 noon. Offerors planning to attend are required to notify the specialist listed below, in writing, of all attendees' names (not to exceed three per company) prior to 05 Jun 01. An e-mail response to the specialist listed below is acceptable. Questions received prior to the conference must be received before 05 Jun 01. Questions generated as a result of the preproposal conference must be received before 20 Jun 01. Written responses to offeror-generated questions will be provided to all Offerors.
