Reference note #22-This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplmented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will note be issued. The solicitation number is 0025077. The solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. This solicitation is not issued as an 8(a) sed-aside. The solicitation is for the maintenance of nine (9) MTI Gladiator 3600 disk arrays. The contractor shall provide support maintenance for 9 MTI Gladiator Disk Arrays and associated software. The contractor must have all MTI Gladiator spare parts locally available for same day support. The contractor working on the MTI Gladiators must be a MTI factory-trained field engineer. A guaranteed response time of less than four (4) hours for a service technician is required. The contractor must guarantee updates for compatibility and performance enhancements to all MTI Gladiators. The contractor must have a management escalation policy for support. A written copy of the escalation policy must be submitted to the Contracting Officer before the contract can be awarded. The contractor must have access to FBI space. All personnel responsible for physical and software maintenance of the MTI Gladiator equipment at the FBI facility must have their fingerprints and forms FD-816 and FD-484 on file. Place of performance shall be FBI Headquarters, JEH Bldg., 935 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W. Washington, D.C. 20535. This contract is for one (1) year with 2 one-year options. The FBI intends to negotiate this contract with the Original Equipment Manufacturer, MTI Technology, Inc. as they have informed the FBI that they are they only company that can service the MTI disk arrays. The provisions of 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offeror is advised to to include a complete copy of the provisions of 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- CommercialItems, applies to this acqusition. The provisions of 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, also applies to this acqusition.
