REQUEST FOR INFORMATION STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES Specialized Support Program Worldwide Wholesale Consumable Support The Defense Logistics Agency serves within the Department of Defense as a wholesale level industrial distributor of spare parts and maintenance, repair and operating supplies for the military services worldwide. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) seeks unique and innovative approaches of support that will maintain the highest state of weapons system readiness. Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) is looking for innovative ways to provide wholesale long-term contract support of worldwide demand for the B-1B, B-52, E-3 and C-135 series Aircraft as well as support for the GE and Pratt and Whitney families of aircraft engines. DSCR has drafted a Request for Information (RFI) and Statement of Objectives (SOO). This RFI is designed to obtain information from industry that will enable DSCR to determine the best contracting vehicle(s) and approach to improve supply support to our worldwide customers. The Request for Information and Statement of Objectives are located on the DSCR VPV Program Website under Contracting Information. This website is located at: www.dscr.dla.mil/proc/VPV. Comments are solicited from all parties who have experience in the current and emerging best business practices and technologies relating to integrated supply chain management, distribution, manufacturing, maintenance and materials management techniques.
