- Description
- This project is for the establishment and construction of a new Tea Creek Meadows Hiking Trail and Boardwalk on the Marlinton Ranger District of the Monongahela National Forest in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. The work consists of, but is not limited to: 1) Locating and clearing the trail; 2) Excavating and constructing embankments and approaches; 3) Constructing a boardwalk; 4) Constructing two observation decks; 5) Reconstruct and stabilize an existing parking lot and approach roadway; 6) Remove and dispose of old rustic fencing and wood guardrail posts; 7) Construct a new rustic rail fence and farm gate; and 8) Seed, fertilize and mulch disturbed areas. There will be a pre-quote meeting/site visit on June 28, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. starting at the Little Laurel Creek Overlook on the Highland Scenic Highway. The Contractor will have 90 days to complete the project after receiving a notice to proceed. The NAICS Code for this project is 234990, Other Heavy Constrruction. This project will be solicited using the Request for Quotation format, on an unrestricted basis, with no set-asides. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $50,000 and $100,000.
