Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for noncommercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00164-01-Q-0194 applies and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-25 and 97-22 (correction) as well as DCN 20001213. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 33429 and the business size standard is 750 employees. This requirement is as follows: CLIN 0001 -- Evaluate, Overhaul, Repair and Materials PN: SPS-49RC. This system consists of the following assemblies: SUB CLIN 0001AA -- PN 912352-1, RF Rotary Coupler Assembly, 3 ea , CLIN 0001AB -- PN 912345-1 Slip Ring Assembly, 3 ea, SUB CLIN 0001AC -- P/N 912705, IFF Rotary Coupler and P/N 707483, IAW Statement of Work which is available at http://www.crane.navy.mil/supply/announce.htm. The rotary coupler system will be provided as Government Furnished Material. Additional Requirements: Due to the sophisticated electro-mechanical and electro-magnetic nature of rotary couplers the contractor must have experience in the repair or fabrication of rotary couplers. Vendors shall include their experience, with their offer, evidenced by an existing rotary coupler catalog or company brochure or 2 or more completed contracts. Delivery is required F.O.B. Destination to Crane, IN 47522 within 100 days after award. Selection for award will be based on past performance and price. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. All responsible sources may submit a quote that will be considered by the Agency. A Firm-Fixed Price purchase order will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
