Description
The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound has a requirement for the following: 1.) 10,000 feet of cable: 500 MCM, type W, 90 degree centigrade, 2000 Volt, single conductor, continuous lengths on non-returnable reels, 500 feet minimum, must be listed and labeled by a nationally recognized testing laboratory, UL or CSA. Cable must have conductor size and type along with testing laboratory insignia embossed on cable jacket. 2.) 5000 feet of cable: 800 MCM, type W, 90 degree centigrade, 2000 Volt, single conductor, continuous lengths on non-returnable reels, 500 feet minimum, must be listed and labeled by a nationally recognized testing laboratory, UL or CSA. Cable must have conductor size and type along with testing laboratory insignia embossed on cable jacket. 3.) 5000 Feet of Cable: 3/0 AWG, single conductor, type W, black jacket, continuous lengths on non-returnable reels, 250 feet minimum, must be listed and labeled by a nationally recognized testing laboratory, UL or CSA. Cable must have conductor size and type along with testing laboratory insignia embossed on cable jacket. 4.) 5000 Feet of Cable: 6 AWG, single conductor, type SC, 600 volt, 90 degree centigrade, green jacket, UL listed. Must be listed and labeled by a nationally recognized testing laboratory, UL or CSA. The government will evaluate for multiple awards on all items. Delivery (FOB Destination) is required to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard no later than 07 Sep 2001. The procedures of FAR Part 12, commercial acquisition will be utilized. THE GOVERNMENT ANTICIPATES THAT FINAL NEGOTIATED PRICING WILL BE THROUGH A REVERSE AUCTION. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about 12 June 2001, with offers due on or about 19 June 2001. All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to "brad_e_demers@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
