Description
The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) intends to = issue a Solicitation to Furnish and Install Air Conditioning (Coding = Only) in Three (3) Training Buildings at the FLETC, located in Glynco = (Brunswick), Georgia. This installation is to include all labor, = materials, equipment and supervision necessary to perform all work = associated with this project, as set forth in the drawings and of = work/specifications. (1) Building 129 is a 1,200 s.f. single story = masonry building with an open wood trussed ceiling plenum. Work = generally includes minor electrical service modifications and provision = of a type 5-ton split air conditioning with exposed supply ductwork = only. (2) Building 131 is a 2-story 2,400 s.f. masonry building with = open bar joist ceiling plenums. Work generally includes minor = electrical service modifications and provision of two 5-ton split air = conditioning systems with exposed supply ductwork only. Work also = includes masonry infill of existing exterior masonry window openings. = (3) Building 133 is a 900 s.f. live fire shoot house building of unique = construction. It has existing separate supply and exhaust air handlers = mounted in an attic space. Air distribution duct is also existing. = Work generally includes minor electrical service modifications and = provision of a new pad mounted 5-ton split air conditioning system with = a new cooling coil to be incorporated into the existing supply air = handler. A site visit will be scheduled. The purchase order to follow = will incorporate the procedures used under Parts 12 and 13 of the = Federal Acquisition Circular 97-25. This acquisition is being procured = through the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items under Subpart = 13.5 of the FAR. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business = concern. The solicitation will be issued on or about June 9, 2001. = Award maybe made to other than the lowest priced offer. Past = performance will be considered to determine the best value to the = Government. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial = items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as = supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This = announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being = requested and a written solicitation will be issued. The Contracting = Officer is Edward Gilmore (912) 261-3630.
