Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst New Jersey intends to procure through full and open competition a Surface Mount Technology Rework Station (SMTRS) to support the F-18 aircraft. The required basic quantity is for two new production units with an option for four (4) additional units. The SMTRS is a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Non-Development-Item (NDI) having the capability to rework components such as quad flat packs, Ball Grid Arrays and Flip Chip technology. The SMTRS shall be used to assist in the removal and placement of surface mounted components. Components will be mounted to Naval Aviation circuit cards having conformal coatings and adhesives. Component composition shall include silicon, ceramic, and plastic hybrids. The station must be bench top mounted. Contractor shall supply a full service contract including parts and labor for a period of five years after delivery of equipment. The Government is anticipating a Firm Fixed Price type contract. The delivery for the two production units shall be completed within 7 weeks after contract award. Delivery shall be FOB destination to the Naval Air Station Lakehurst and the NADEP North Island.
