Description

Solicitation N00421-01-Q-0362 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed contract on a sole source basis with MacSema, Inc., 62971 Plateau Drive, Suite 400, Bend, OR 97701-5874 for the part number listed below. This action is under the authority of FAR Part 12.6. The contract line item number and description is: **CLIN 0001 Quantity 5500 each P/N BTEWK4-Black, Minibutton Memory. MacSema, Inc. is the only known firm to manufacture micro contact memory buttons (CMBs) with a black non-reflective finish which operates without an internal power supply, is of uniform exterior dimension yet is capable of supporting large capacity internal memory microchips which are EEPROM compatible. Award is expected 18 June 2001. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by COB 15 June 2001, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
