Description

This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and an award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intents to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to design and install landscaping plants as selected by the Refuge Manager on a 10.3 mile stretch of road. Installation will include treatment of roadside using herbicide and installation of an irrigation system. Work is for St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge at 1255 Lighthouse Road, in St. Marks, Florida. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for Small Business concerns with a size standard of $5.0 million. The SIC Code is 0782 and the NAICS Code is 561730. Tentative issue date for RFQ will be on or about 6/20/01. A firm fixed price order will be issued, with a delivery date of 120 days from date of notice of award. Anticipated award will be on or about 7/18/01. The Fish and Wildlife Service is presently using Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue Request for Quotations and Purchase Orders. You must register in EC at web site http://ideasec.nbc.gov. If you have any questions about registration please call 703-648-4332. Prior to registering each company must obtain a Dun and Bradstreet (DNB)number and have their Tax Identification Number. You may obtain your DNB number free of charge at web site http://dnb.com. After registration all contractors will be able to view posted solicitations and awards and submit quotes on line. Do not try to obtain the solicitation prior to 6/20/01 via EC. This will be your only means of obtaining this solicitation/award. All contractors with access to the Internet and an e-mail address can receive electronic notifications of award.
