Description
VA Medical Center, Canandaigua, NY is seeking qualified firms with the capacity and capability to provide all necessary labor, supervision, transportation, materials, tools, supplies, equipment incidential engineering and management required to perform the inspections, testing, maintenance, minor repair and component replacement as required to ensure reliable and continuous safe operation of elevator equipment systems in accordance with commercial practices or, if available, the manufacturer's original specifications. Work includes the performance of service work, preventative maintenance of equipment, routine and periodic inspections and tests, and other services as described in the specifications. REQUIRED: Emergency services requires a two hour on-site response time. Manufacturer's of the elevators are Canton, Dover, Esco, Delware, Otis, Hollister Whitney, Montgomery-Miprom. These are both electrical and hydraulic systems. North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 235950, Buiding Equipment and Other Machinery Installation Contractors. Small business size standard is $11.5 million. This is an unrestricted solicitation and open to all interested firms. The period of performance is for a base period of one year with four one-year options. The total performance period will not exceed five years. Service to commence on or about October 1, 2001. Procurement made using FAR 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and source selection methods for awards. Attendance at a pre-proposal job walk tentatively scheduled for June 20, 2001 is considered essential. The solicitation and resultant contract award is subject to availability of current fiscal year funding. Solicitation packages will be available on or about June 4, 2001.
