Description

The government previously advertised this procurement as a small business set-aside; however, large businesses were permitted to submit quotes with the understanding that their quotes would only be considered if no small businesses submitted acceptable offers. Only Stewart Title Insurance Co., of Syracuse, NY, a large business, submitted a quote. Interested parties may request a copy of the specifications by close of business, 18 June 2001. If there is response by that date, those parties will be permitted to submit a quote by no later than 25 June 2001; otherwise, it is the government's intent to make award to Stewart Title, as of 18 June 2001. The NAICS code is 541191 (formerly SIC code 6541), for a small business size standard of maximum $5MIL gross revenues averaged over the last three years. The completion period for the work is approximately 21 days from date of award. In addition to the search, a title tree is required that graphically depicts the chain of title.
