Description

Q7530-01-0003, Concrete Foundation and Railroad Debris Removal Disposal; Soils Testing; Excavation; Hauling and Disposal Contaminated Soils; and Backfill. The Contractor shall provide all services, including labor, equipment, machinery, materials and soil testing apparatus necessary for: the removal of all above ground and subsurface concrete structures, foundations, railway track and support timbers; the testing of soils as specified by the State of Louisiana; excavation of contaminated soils if encountered at the project site; loading, hauling, and disposal of construction debris and any contaminated materials; and back-fill of excavation pits with clean, compacted material. Work is to be performed in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and Local laws and regulations. The period of performance for any resulting contract is 75 calendar days to include material approval, acquisition, transportation and installation. The contract will be firm fixed price. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS Code is 23594, Wrecking and Demolition Contractors. Solicitation Q7530-01-0003 will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ), using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This solicitation will be issued as full and open competition and unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business competitiveness Demonstration Program. The solicitation will be issued on or about June 27, 2001. A site visit will be scheduled on or about July 10, 2001 with proposals due on or about July 27, 2001.
