Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to procure Interface Cable Sets, P/N 3741AS100-1, for the F/A-18C/D aircraft. The required quantity is 2 (two) each initial production sets and the provision of final Product Drawings in AutoCAD 14 (or higher) format. The MIL-STD-1553 Interface Cable Set (ICS) shall be a Non-Developmental-Item (NDI) comprised of portable carrying cases that contain a total of approximately 34 cables. Engineering sketches, MS Word format, will be provided with the solicitation. Each cable within the set are stored in Cross-Linked Polyethylene foam inserts within carrying cases and are identified by content charts. The foam inserts are assemblies with conformal cavities cut out to accommodate each cable. The Government is anticipating a Firm-Fixed Price type contract. The delivery for the production units, quantity of 2 (two), shall be presented for final inspection and acceptance NLT 90 days after contract award. The delivery for the final Product Drawings shall be NLT 150 days after contract award. All ICSs shall be packaged in accordance with best commercial practices. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ. This is a 100% set-aside for small business. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil. Select "Business" then "Doing Business With Us" and "Open Solicitations." Hard copies of the solicitation and amendments will NOT be mailed to the contractors. The solicitation will be posted on the web on or about 02 July 01.
