Description

Provide instructional materials for DoDEA Gifted Education Program, Grades K-12. The proposed contract(s) will be a requirements type contract with a base period of twelve months. The estimated value of the award is $550,000.00. A maximum of forty-eight awards may be made as a result of this solicitation for the twelve areas of differentiation at four grade bands (K-3, 4-6, 7-8, 9-12) listed below: A. Differentiation in English/Language Arts B. Differentiation in Science C. Differentiation in Social Studies D. Differentiation in Mathematics E. Differentiation through interdisciplinary studies F. Differentiation with technology G. Project-based, inquiry learning H. Higher order thinking skills I. Diagnosis/assessment and evaluation for gifted learners J. Teaching strategies and instructional arrangements for gifted learners L. Research skills for gifted learners However, the total number of contract awards will depend upon the number of differentiation's selected for award from any given publisher. It is anticipated that Solicitation MDA414-01-R-0003 will be issued on June 25, 2001. This solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis. Publishers will be required to submit teacher's resource packages that may consist of instructional guides, multimedia materials and web-based materials. Publishers shall not submit any Gifted Education instructional materials for review to schools, teachers, Social Studies coordinators or other employees of the Department of Defense Education Activity during the solicitation phase of this acquisition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will contain specific instructions for submission of review materials and price proposals.
