- J -- BOILER AND WATER TREATMENT SERVICE CONTRACT. The CBD notice that appeared in the May 11, 2001 issue, is hereby modified. This solicitation is for the servicing of the boiler water system and the chilled water line system at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System at the West Haven, CT and Newington, CT locations. There will be a base year and four option years. The new due date for quotations is July 13, 2001. The solicitation with specifications will be placed on the web site as soon as access to OUTLOOK is possible (at the moment, access from our location is down). Copies will be mailed upon request at no charge if we can not access the web site, or if you don't have internet connections. The web site address is: http://www.va.gov/oa&mm/busopp/sols.htm. WALK-THROUGH There will be a walk-through at both campuses on Wednesday, June 20, 2001. The first walk-through will be at the West Haven campus at 0900 Hours (9:00 AM) and at the Newington campus at 1300 Hours (1:00 PM). At West Haven, the walk-through will start at Building 15 (Engineering) conference room, where the specifications will be discussed. At Newington, the walk-through will start at 1:00 PM. Directions to West Haven VA: I-95 to downtown West Haven, then on Campbell Avenue. The VA is located at 950 Campbell Avenue. Use the entrance with a stop light and a digital sign at the beginning of the access road, drive up the hill, turn right into the upper patient's parking lot. Building 15 is the first building you'll see as you drive up the hill. It has a transformer housed inside a page fence area in the rear area which faces the road. Enter through the front door, along side the access road. The conference room will be your first right from the hallway entrance. Directions to Newington: I-91 N to Exit 22 (Rt 9 N), then to Exit 29 which leads to Route 175. At end of road turn right. One half mile go left on Alumni Road (see Citco Station). Follow to the end of the road and see the boiler plant. Jim Deschenes will be at the building where all parties will assemble for the walk through.
