Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division intends to award a sole source contract to Applied Simulation Technologies for support in two specialized tests for hydrodynamic maneuvering and control. The selected contractor has significant experience in submarine hydrodynamics control systems and is intemately farmiliar with Office of Naval Research -- ONR laboratory and industry science. The ONR Body 1 experimental tests were both designed by Applied Simulation Technologies personnel. In addition, AST is the only contractor capable of continuing these tests. Results of previous testing conducted by AST will be used in the upcoming experiments. The Governments intent to award a fixed price sole source contract is under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may submit, in writing, a statement of capabilities no later than 15 calendar days from the issue date of this notice. (see numbered Note 22)
