Description

The work consists of the construction of a new day use recreation area along the shore of Table Rock Lake. Examples of facilities to be constructed include an access roadway, parking, beach, waterborne restroom, gatehouse, and all associated utilities (water, communications, sewer, electric, etc ), among others. Construction of a picnic pavilion/shelter will be included in the contract as an option. Construction of these facilities will involve extensive rock excavation (blasting required). The proximity to the lake will also require tight controls on site run-off and turbidity. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET-A-SIDE FOR 8(A) FIRMS. It is anticipated to be a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The North American Industrial Classification Standard is 234990 and the size standard is $27.5 Million. Project Duration is approximately 720 calendar days. Estimated magnitude of work is between $5 -- 10 Million. Issue date for solicitation will be on or about July 3, 2001. The solicitation is available on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and provided free of charge. IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER FIRM. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed hard copy format.
