Description

Provide instructional materials that assist the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) in fully implementing the DoDEA Special Education Program. K-12 materials must cover Functional Curriculum for Students with Moderate to Severe Disabilities -- Academic Skills (grade bands K-5, 6-8, and 9-12, Life Skills (grade bands K-5, 6-8, and 9-12, Vocational/Transitional Skills (grade bands K-5,6-8, and 9-12. Materials will correlate with the DoDEA Alternate Standards in Language Arts/Reading, Math, and Career Vocational. Grade 6-12 Materials must cover Language Arts/Reading curriculum for Non-Readers and Struggling Readers (Students with Learning Disabilities -- grade bands 6-8 and 9-12. Materials will correlate with the DoDEA Language Arts/Reading Standards.A maximum of 14 awards may be made as a result of this solicitation. It is anticipated Solicitation MDA414-01-R-0002 will be issued on 6/18/01 with a closing date of 08/03/01. This solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis utilizing simplified acquisition procedures under the authority of FAR 13.500. Publishers will be required to submit program materials for the technical evaluation and a price proposal. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will contain specific instructions for submissions of review materials and price proposals. Copies of the solicitation may be requested from Helen B.
