- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division intends to solicit through full and open competition the on-site maintenance and repair of Government-owned Sun Microsystems hardware at China Lake, CA and Point Mugu, CA. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811212 and the small business size standard is $18.0 million. The scope of work includes on-call preventive maintenance, repair, reconfiguration, upgrades, and deinstallation of Sun Microsystems-manufactured Information Technology (IT) Equipment and peripherals. Peripherals include, but are not limited to monitors, keyboards, tape drives, and disk drives (may be third party). The China Lake site is in the Mojave Desert, adjacent to the city of Ridgecrest, CA, approximately 150 miles northeast of Los Angeles, CA. China Lake has various remote sites located within an approximate 50-mile radius of the main complex. Point Mugu, CA is located on the Pacific coast, approximately 50 miles north of Los Angeles. Point Mugu has various remote locations at the Camarillo Airport, approximately 8 miles from the main base. Other remote sites include Laguna Peak, approximately 3 miles from the main base, Port Hueneme, CA, and San Nicholas Island, off the coast of Southern California. The Contractor and employees working on the resulting contract will be required to obtain and hold a SECRET security clearance. The anticipated contract, including option years, is expected to be for 5 years, from 1 October 2001 through 30 September 2006.
