Description

The work consists of the general construction of rock anchors and rock scaling for the stabilization of rock canyon walls at Ok-A-Beh launch area in Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area. The project logistics include mobilization of equipment to perform work on a vertical rock wall suspended over Big Horn Lake. 63 grouted rock bolts will be installed and prestressed to a design load of 112.5 kips. The bolts will be 25 feet long and 1 1/4 inch in diameter. The rock scaling is estimated to require approximately 24 crew hours, which is defined as a foreman and two rock scalers. The work is located near Fort Smith, Montana, in Big Horn County. Estimated price range: $100,000 -- $250,000. Solicitation documents will be available on or about June 25 with bid opening to be held 30 days later. This acquisition is solicited under full and open competition. Award will be made in accordance with Public Law 100-656, the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program Act. NAICS code 23499.
