Description

This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The invitation for bid document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-24. This is a 100% set-aside for small business procurement. The Standard Industrial Code is "334613". The small business size is 1,000 employees. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Austin Automation Center (AAC), Austin, Texas (AAC) intends to procure the following "new" data cartridge items: 1) 600 each Imation Black Watch 9940 tapes. All 9940 tapes shall be initialized with the following header format/data code/operating system (IBM EDCDIC/MVS). All 9940 tapes shall be pre-initialized and labeled with an EDP Vibrant color Tri-optic 1687-VC label. The label numbering series is: 345000-345599; 2) 30 each Imation 9940 cleaning tapes; 3) 300 each Maxell (or equal), DLT-IV data cartridge; 4) 250 each Sony (or equal) 4mm, 125m DDS3; 5) 150 each Maxell (or equal) 4mm DDS4 150m data cartridge; 6) 40 each Fuji (or equal) 8mm 160M Data Cartridge. Delivery of the tape cartridges shall be no later than Four (4) weeks after an order is placed. Delivery Address is: Austin Automation Center, 1615 Woodward Street, Austin, TX. 78741. Responses shall be in writing and can be e-mailed to the attention of the contracting officer or faxed to 512/326-6028. The following FAR clauses apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial with the addendum FAR 52.216-1 Type of Contract- "The Government contemplates award of a firm fixed price single award contract from this solicitation"; FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial; FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items with addendum FAR 52-219-6 Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside; and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Order-Commercial Items. All offerors will be required to provide a completed copy of the provision FAR 52-212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items and with addendum, VAAR 852.219-70 Veteran Owned Small Business. The Standard Commercial Warranty is required. Offers shall be submitted within 3 working days from the publication of this notice and shall be addressed to the attention of the Contracting Officer.
