Description

NASA Dryden Flight Research Center intends to procure from Luna Innovations as a sole source action. Luna Innovations has sole proprietorship of a 900 degree C fiber-optic strain sensor, which is based on Extrinsic Fabry-Perot Interometry, and utilizes an 830 nanometer single-mode fiber. This sensor is uniquely sutitable for a high-temperature test being conducted within the Aerostructures Branch. It is imperative that the system identified in this procurement be interchangeable with the one in use a DFRC. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The items to be procured are as follows: Custom 8-channel rackmount measurement system Qty:1 100 Hz refresh rate/channel Qty:1 LCD Readout Qty:1 RS-232 interface for each channel Qty:1 +/- 10 VDE analog output Qty:1 The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-25. This procuement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 334519 and 500 employees, respectively. The quotter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. Delivery to DFRC is required by 9/30/01. Delivery should be FOB: Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9.
